Map (provided by organizers)

Cell phone (Verizon has best coverage. Nextel has worst.) for emergency use only.

Compass- (two)

Knife (one that can actually cut things, there may be a test)

Waterproof map bag (Recommend Waterproof HP map case from ARNavSupplies.com)

 

Bike section (per person)

Bicycle helmet, Front light, Rear light

 

Rope section (per person)

Helmet (bicycle helmet OK)

Harness, 3 locking carabiners  and 3 of 24" sewn tethers or daisychains

Rappel device (ATC or figure 8)

Prussic loop for use above the rappel device.

Gloves

 

Boat section

(Per person)  PFD (Lifejacket), glow stick, headlight.

(Per team) 2 glow sticks per boat.

 

Teams will also need one mountain bike per person and boats for the team.

Recommended: Hiking poles, gloves, sail, water purification tablets or filter system.

Recommended: Wetsuit or paddling clothing for paddling section.
