Knife (one that can actually cut things, there may be a test)

Waterproof map bag (Recommend Waterproof HP map case from ARNavSupplies.com)

Waterproof Matches.

Shelter. (Rain protection. Tarp, Bivvy sacs , light tent etc. Must be demonstrated at check-in)

Sleeping Bag 40F or better rating (Must be presented at check-in. May be required for use if weather conditions are bad)

Bicycle helmet, Front light, Rear light

Helmet (bicycle helmet OK)

Harness, 3 locking carabiners and 3 of 24" sewn tethers or daisychains

Rappel device (ATC or figure 8)

Prussic loop for use as backup during rappel.
Jumars - one pair with correct length tethers and foot loops.
Gloves

Boat section (per person)

PFD (Lifejacket)

Glow stick.

Reflective tape 6" x 1" minimum on paddle blades. One piece on front of one blade and one on back.

Wetsuit or Drysuit. (Must be presented at check-in. May be required for use if weather conditions are bad)

Boat section (per team)

4 glow sticks per boat.

1 dry bag per boat.

Teams will also need one mountain bike per person and boats for the team.

Recommended:
Gloves for protection against brush.

Warm clothes - be prepared for rain and temperatures at or below freezing
Minimum 3L of water carrying capacity.
