Joann Grether
Joann's background
Joann was born on 8/05/57 (making her really quite old) , is married and has one son (who comes to our training runs rain or shine). She is an elementary principal (with a Junior High attitude). When interrogated, she will admit that her husband's name is Tom and her son's is Ryan. She has completed over 70 marathons and ultramarathons, including five 100-mile races. She has completed 9 adventure races including 2 first place finishes. (In 1988, in an attempt to throw authorities off her trail, she changed her name from Joanne to Joann by dropping the 'e'). Travels include Nepal, Africa, Mexico, and South America. Current goal - completion of the 2002 Raid Gaulloises in Vietnam. Along with all of the above, she is considered a domestic goddess by some.
