Brien's background
Brien considers himself a mild mannered thrill seeker, with mountaineering experience
and training. Through his desire to be physically fit for mountaineering, he took up
mountain biking and running marathons and ultra-marathons. These activities put him in
touch with adventure racing and... a new passion was born. Brien lives near the Napa
Valley wine region with his wife of 25 years and has taken up rock climbing, orienteering
and kayaking to round out his physical assets and complement his mental strength: focus.
